In a consultation with me you can expect thoughtful notes, praises, questions, and detailed suggestions on the work you submit. Whether it’s a few poems you’re hoping to submit to a journal, a longer sample for an application, or a chapbook-length collection you need a new set of eyes on, you can expect the utmost care for your work. I will give you encouragement and direction to get you closer to polished poems and to where you want to be.

During your 50 minute consult about the work you’re sharing, you may also pick my brain about processes and tips for submitting your work to journals and magazines, teaching undergraduate creative writing, BAs and MFAs in creative writing, as well as my experience from my career working in higher education.

 I am currently reading manuscripts up to 30 pages of poetry. When you book a consultation you will submit your work, select the number of pages within the range listed, and I will get in touch to say hello and chat about your goals for the time we’ll be working together.
